Question 1

What areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We're based in Telford, Tennessee and serve homeowners within a 65-mile radius. That includes Johnson City, Kingsport, Jonesborough, Boone's Creek, and the surrounding Tri-Cities communities.

Question 2

What is your minimum project size?

Accepted Answer

Our minimum project size is 300 square feet. This applies to all services — driveways, patios, sidewalks, house pads, and flatwork.

Question 3

What does your quote include?

Accepted Answer

Every K&H quote includes permits (where required), all materials, labor, forming, pouring, your choice of finish, control joints, form removal, and site cleanup. The price we quote is the price you pay.

Question 4

Do you offer decorative or stamped concrete?

Accepted Answer

No. We focus on straightforward flatwork — broom finish and slick finish concrete. We don't offer decorative, stamped, or colored concrete. If you need those services, we're happy to point you in the right direction.

Question 5

What is the difference between broom finish and slick finish?

Accepted Answer

Broom finish has a textured surface created by dragging a broom across wet concrete — it provides traction and is standard for outdoor surfaces. Slick finish (trowel finish) is smooth and clean, typically used for garage floors, covered patios, and interior slabs.

Question 6

What happens if weather delays my pour?

Accepted Answer

Concrete and rain don't mix. If weather delays your scheduled pour, we provide a revised timeline within 24 hours and move you to priority scheduling. You won't be left wondering — we communicate immediately.

Question 7

How long does a concrete pour take?

Accepted Answer

Most residential pours take one day for the actual pour. Site preparation (grading, forming, base work) may take a day or two before that, depending on the scope. We'll give you a clear timeline during the estimate.

Question 8

How long before I can walk on / drive on new concrete?

Accepted Answer

Generally, you can walk on new concrete after 24-48 hours. Driving on a new driveway typically requires 7 days for light vehicles. Full cure takes about 28 days. We'll walk you through the specific timeline for your project.

Question 9

Do you remove old concrete?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If your project involves replacing existing concrete, we handle the tear-out and disposal. The removal cost is included in your all-in quote.

Question 10

What about permits?

Accepted Answer

If your project requires a permit, it's included in your quote. We handle the permit process so you don't have to.

Question 11

What are your hours?

Accepted Answer

We work Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM. Estimate appointments are available Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM.

Question 12

How do I get an estimate?

Accepted Answer

Fill out the form on our contact page or email us. Tell us about your project (what you need, approximate size, and your city) and we'll schedule a free on-site visit.
